Span of Control & Chain of Command
The three co-owners of the Bondi Junction 7 Day Medical Centre essentially share the span of control equally. They have purposely employed a highly experienced practice manager to oversee every staff member including the other doctors.
Recruitment of Human Resources
The Practice Manager currently looks after human resource aspects of the Bondi Junction 7 Day Medical Centre.
This includes, hiring, firing, staff issues and adhering to accreditation standards. All staff must have appropriate qualifications, experience and a personable manner.
The Bondi Junction 7 Day Medical Centre uses the services of private specialized medical employment agencies to provide a pool of possible applicants. Final selections are made by the Practice Manager in consultation with the co-owners. It is critical to the medical centre’s positive reputation that all staff meet these strict criteria.
Maintenance of Human Resources
All personnel issues are dealt with by the Practice Manager who
informs each employee of the specific duties that they are expected to perform. The practice manager also ensures each employee is renumerated properly and receives regular training and their concerns are promptly and properly addressed.
